About
Nancy B. Dickey is an award-winning quiltmaker from Magnolia, Texas. She has a
Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas, specializing in graphic design.
Following graduation, she spent years in the advertising field before discovering
quiltmaking in 1982. In 1999, she began producing original quilt designs and has been
expanding her talents ever since. Nancy’s quilts have appeared in national and
international shows, and have been published in several quilt magazines, both in the
US and France.
Currently, her art quilts and small fiber pieces are represented at the Copper Shade Tree
Gallery in Round Top, Texas. In February 2010, Nancy's quilt art will again be there in a
month-long juried show featuring 24 quilt and fiber artists from around Texas. Her quilt,
“The Winner's Circle”, won a First Place in Appliqué in the 2008 Hoffman Challenge, and
"Bee" won a Third Place in Appliqué and is currently traveling with the 2009 Hoffman
Challenge.
